These standards are generally created and used based on the environment and conditions of each country .

In our country, most rebar manufacturing plants, including the Isfahan Steel Plant, which is a leading company in this field, follow Russian standards in rebar manufacturing.

are divided into several groups: A1 rebar , A2 rebar, A3 rebar , and A4 rebar .

JIS is a standard from Japan that specifies the JIS G3112 standard for rebars used in concrete. DIN is a standard from Germany that specifies the DIN 488 standard for rebars. Finally, ISO , which is related to the International Organization for Standardization, specifies the ISO 6935 standard for rebars. Which of these standards or even other standards is used in the production of rebar depends on the environment of the country and of course the manufacturing plant .

A1 rebar

These types of rebars are made from a small percentage of carbon. For this reason, they have high flexibility and ductility. In the industry, these types of rebars are also called soft rebar and usually do not have any grooves on their surface .

A2 rebar

These types of bars are harder than A1 bars and have uniform edges on their body surface. In the industry, these bars are called semi-brittle .

A3 rebar

These bars have a higher hardness than the previous two types and, as a result, are less malleable than them. On the other hand, there are ribs on their surface in the form of a sternum. For this reason, A3 bars are also called sternum bars. For more information about this type of bars, it is recommended to read the article Difference between A2 and A3 bars. Study .

A4 rebar

A4 rebar They are the hardest type of rebar, with serrated treads on their surface. These treads are on opposite sides of each other, which increases the adhesion of the rebar to the concrete. In fact, it can be said that as the number of these rebars increases, their hardness also increases.

Types of rebar in terms of shape and appearance

Another aspect of difference between the types of rebars is their appearance. In general, rebars can be divided into two categories: plain and ribbed. Plain rebars have a completely flat shape and there are no ribs or protrusions on their surface. These types of rebars have a very high bending capacity .

For this reason, they can be easily bent or cut. Due to this feature, they are mostly used for works that require bending and twisting. However, these rebars are not suitable for use in concrete, especially for heavy projects .

Another type of rebar in terms of appearance is ribbed rebar. Unlike the simple type, these rebars have ribs on their surface. Ribbed rebars themselves are available in several different types in terms of strength and type of rib .

Ribbed rebar is specifically used in concrete because the ribs engage with the concrete and prevent the rebar from slipping through it. Ribbed rebar is typically stiffer and is less suitable for bending applications .

Types of rebar by material

The type of rebar is another important issue, based on which rebars are divided into several different categories. In general, rebars include the following in terms of type :

Carbon steel rebars

Epoxy millwork

Galvanized rebar

Fiberglass rebar

Steel rebar

Composite Millepard

Types of rebar by size

Another important issue regarding rebars is their size. These steel sections are manufactured in a wide variety of sizes and are used for various purposes. In our country, rebars with sizes 8 to 50 are most commonly used, although rebars in other sizes are also produced .

The size of a rebar is actually the same as its diameter and is measured in millimeters. Larger rebars are usually used for heavier and stronger structures. As the structure becomes smaller and lighter, the size of the rebar required for it also decreases .

The most important types of rebar, based on size, include the following :

Size 8

Size 10

Size 12

Size 14

Size 16

Size 18

Size 20

Size 22

Size 25

Size 28

Size 32

Types of Rebars There are other types of rebars in terms of type and application that are classified into other categories based on their shaping, bending, application, or type. These types of rebars are :

Coiled rebar

HSD rebar

Zigzag rebar

Trans rebar

Thermal rebar

Reinforcing bar

Normal rebar

Bed rebar

Negative moment rebar

European rebar

Application of various types of rebar in buildings

Rebar is used in various industries. It is used in the fields of automobile and machinery manufacturing, dam construction, and other such areas. But the most common and important use of rebar is in the construction industry .

Straight rebar

It can be said that the most important and most important use of rebar in construction is related to this sector. Straight rebars are those types of rebars that are placed in columns and even in the foundation of a building to increase the strength of concrete. Rebars are used in these sectors in the form of long branches, which is why they are called straight rebars .

Pin rebar

Pin bars are actually the same as the opened form of yoke bars. These bars are used to connect longitudinal bars with yoke bars. In addition to this, they are effective in increasing the strength of the yoke .

Vault rebar

In some cases, to increase the strength of the foundation of a building, in addition to the usual rebars, two more rows of rebars are used horizontally. These rebars are called arches and are generally placed at the top of the foundation. Since the entire load of the building is transferred to the foundation and from there to the ground, arch rebars increase the strength of the foundation .

Stirrup bar

Sometimes, when arranging wall rebars, it is necessary to use another set of rebars to hold them horizontally and vertically. Rebars used in this way are called stirrup rebars. Stirrup rebars are most commonly used in the construction of concrete walls .

Edka rebar

These rebars are mostly used in the support part of building beams. Because they can greatly increase the shear force tolerance for the beam. We have mentioned some of the most important applications of rebar in construction. As you have seen, due to the widespread use of rebar in construction, a separate title has been chosen for the rebars used in each part of the building. This shows the importance of using rebar, especially in the field of construction .

Clamp rebar

When building columns using various types of rebar, smaller rebars are used to fasten them, which are called yoke rebars. The yoke rebars are fastened at specific distances around several branches of straight rebar. This is done to prevent them from separating and bending horizontally, and to increase their strength .

Khaf Makran International Trading Company

info@khmico.com

http://khmico.com

+989155795464

Address : floor Ground level, Next to Sina Alley 18, Sina avenue KHAF city, Khorasan Razavi province – IRAN

, Postal Code: 9561881834

Rebars are long rods made of steel and come in various sizes .
